First, Mountain Meadow Estates is about 15 miles from the Congress approved USEC American Centrifuge Project. Just one week ago Ohio congressmen passed a resolution to press President Obama to fulfill the $2 billion federal loan guarantee that will allow the project to move forward immediately. This will create 2,000 construction jobs and 500 full-time high paying positions.
Second, This development has the advantage of being directly beside a major four-lane highway. Previous governor, James Rhodes, was instrumental in building the Appalachian Highway (State Route 32) which connects Cincinnati to Athens (Ohio University).
Third, a statistic from a source at The Ohio State University indicates that the population growth for the Jackson area is in a higher bracket compared to the surrounding counties.
Fourth, we are in a well situated location with the intersection of two major 4-lane highways: State Route 32 and Highway 35. This is a prime cross road location. It is better situated than areas such as Ross and Gallia Counties and, given appropriate attention from business and economic development, much more industry can be brought into the area. In terms of some interesting statistics, Jackson County is within 500 miles of ⅔ of the population of the United States; within 2 hours of seven major interstate highways: I-71, I-74, I-75, I-77, and I-79.

We are also home to two state parks and one nature preserve for fishing, camping or hiking. Cooper Hollow Wildlife Area for hunting, fishing and hiking consists of 3,420 acres.
In terms of healthcare, Jackson has three new medical facilities, one of which is an investment of $56 million. Additional attention from telemedicine initiatives already under way locally promises to bring specialized health care services to the area that are not even available yet in the other surrounding counties in the region. Such services seek to bring, as an example, specialized heart and stroke care from large service providers and clinics right to our back door!
Brand new schools are also within a moment’s reach: a new high school is 7 minutes away, a new elementary school is 10 minutes away and the refurbished middle school (the former high school) is 10 minutes away. A relaxing lake with an RC model airplane range is just 5 minutes away. Very high speed Internet access, which is critical to doctors, medical imaging professionals, lawyers, students, etc., is available to each lot as well through Time Warner and Frontier.
Jackson is conveniently situated such that Columbus is only about one hour and fifteen minutes away by traveling a very nice four-lane highway the entire route. This allows for easy access to the conveniences of a metropolis with an International airport.
Finally, there are various other employment opportunities available just up the highway from Mountain Meadow Estates such as the hospital, clinics and manufacturing plants (General Mills, Michelina's, Ohio Precious Metals, etc.) that can offer higher paying management positions. Mountain Meadow Estates is located on lovely rolling meadows which have been in our family for close to 40 years. We acquired adjoining land at the onset of the project in order to join State Route 776 and Jisco West Road so that we would have two primary road entrances and exits for the development thus giving it prime visibility.

We also own two locations on which we could place large signs or billboards if we would desire to do so for marketing the development.
